10 Best Natural Teeth Whitening Tips - Nurse's Guide
In the past when you wanted white teeth you would have to go to your dentist because that was the only way to get teeth whitening, usually with corrosive tooth bleach. Although bleach preparations have improved they can still be harsh. Today there are many ways to whiten your teeth; any way most of them involve perilous chemicals that may be able to seep through the delicate tissues in your mouth, under the tongue. You can avoid the inherent problems, from whitening your teeth, that you might get from chemical exposure through tooth bleaching and whitening products, kits, strips, gels and systems.
There are a few natural ways to whiten your teeth or forestall them from discoloring and a form of natural bleaching in some cases. In this narrative I'll list a few tips for natural treatments you can do at home.
1. First of all the determined one of making quarterly appointments for cleaning your teeth is first on the list. Many citizen let this slide but it's important to not only get on a quarterly schedule with the dentist's office setting up time to come appointments but also having them call and remind you to come in. Once you get on a schedule of once or twice a year then you will find you don't need to worry about whiter teeth as often, except if you smoke.
2. Make sure to brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day. Make sure to floss at bedtime and use a cheap gum massager to get under the gum flap. You want to forestall the buildup of plaque, which can discolor your teeth. Focusing on your teeth will help you forestall some staining of your teeth.
You want to avoid getting plaque as much as possible. Carry floss with you. And floss discreetly when eating out. At home you can floss while you watch Tv if you seem to not get colse to to it after meals. But make sure to floss at bedtime because you have six to nine hours or more while you're sleeping when the bacteria can go to work on the enamel. Make sure to rinse your mouth after eating.
3. Avoid drinking water with any added fluoride or using toothpaste with fluoride as it's been reported that it can discolor or stain your teeth. Also many other countries have banned fluoride in their drinking water due to diseases and symptoms that have been related with it.
4. If you smoke try to cut down as much as inherent and of course it s great for your health to quit smoking altogether as you no doubt know. Smokers have a more difficult time holding their teeth white than non-smokers so you may have to work harder at it.
5. Coffee and tea are notorious for causing teeth staining. Make sure to sip or rinse your mouth with water while you're drinking coffee or tea and after you're done. Colas and wine can also cause stains on the teeth.
6. Some fruits such as strawberries are perfect tooth whiteners. Strawberries can be rubbed on the teeth or mashed up in a paste and brushed on. Leave on the teeth for five minutes. Rinse well.
You can use the inside of an orange peel which is also good for whitening. You can rub the peel right on your teeth, or take organic dried orange peel and ground bay leaves and make a paste and brush it on. Some citizen swear by a lemon juice and salt combination too. In any case make sure to rinse your mouth well after using these natural tooth whitening treatments.
7. Baking soda has long been used for dental whitening. Many types of toothpaste have baking soda in their ingredients because of its effectiveness. You can make your own baking soda whitener though. Just mix baking soda with a petite salt - a good cheap teeth whitening home remedy.
8. Avoid using mouthwashes. Besides alcohol they comprise other chemicals that can stain or discolor teeth. They can in effect absorb through the delicate tissues under your tongue and be absorbed into your system. One familiar mouthwash was reported recently to in effect discolor the teeth with brown stains.
9. Drinks lots of water. Rinse your mouth thoroughly after every meal or snack to make sure no food residue is sticking to your teeth.
10. Try to eat a great diet with lots of raw foods - fruits and veggies. Make huge salads. Avoid fast food and processed food as much as possible. Avoid constant snacking. All of this will help give you brighter, whiter teeth with fewer cavities.
Teeth whitening by using natural treatments will forestall exposure to harsh chemicals. Natural whitening is cheap and almost free in most cases. You can have a winning smile without hurting the tissues in your mouth and damaging the enamel on your teeth.

Video 3- Anterior Surgical Approach
This surgical approach provides an excellent view of the acetabulum and the proximal femur including the important natural landmarks for adequate implant positioning. The approach follows the internervous plane between the tensor muscle and the sartorious and rectus femoris muscles using a section of the approach described by Smith Petersen.1 No tendons or muscles are cut or detached. The joint capsule is split and left in place. The hip joint is not dislocated; we perform the osteotomy of the femoral neck in situ. To date we have performed several hundred MicroHip™ operations, and thus far we have never observed severe nerve lesions or fractures of the greater trochanter. Our surgical method is reproduceable for teaching and it suits most of the patients; however we recommend to start using MicroHip with average sized patients. Mohs Surgery and Forehead Flap Nose Reconstruction
This video is intended to help others who may be going through this process of Moh's skin cancer removal and the forehead flap nose reconstruction. I was unable to find much information about it before I underwent this procedure so here is my experience. I had been to 3 doctors who told me the sore on my nose was not cancer so the area of my nose that was affected was significantly larger than it would have been if treated sooner. The first step was removing the cancer. I went to Dr. Ammonette in Memphis, TN. This was done in his office with a local anesthetic. I have to tell you that the most painful part of this whole ordeal was the novicain injections. They about put me on the roof, but after that, no pain at all. What they do is take the area that is the doctor's best estimate of the area with cancer. They biopsy that tissue and see where they need to take additional tissue. That process is repeated until the biopsy is clear. This helps them take the minimal amount of tissue. I was sent home that day with just a bandage over my nose. It did not hurt. It looked awful but I took a shower and cleaned it out very well and headed to my surgeon for the reconstruction the next morning. The reconstruction was done by Dr. William Young of the Otolaryngology and Facial Surgery Center located in Jonesboro, AR. They have a wonderful staff by the way. The surgery was done under general anesthesia so I can't tell you anything about that part but I really don't remember anything ...

Aside from recovery your money, you can create a more customized one using the make that you may prefer. First thing that you have to do is to portion the height, width and length of your pet to decree the right size of the door you are going to make. Purchase a dog door kit and trace out an form on the door using a pencil 3 to 4 inches from its base on the dimension you have just gathered. You can then cut through your door on both of its sides around the form you just made using a saber saw. Make sure you have prime the right blades of the saw to avoid ripping your wood door. After that, just pop out that piece of door and you are now ready to setup the frame. You can screw the frame for the inside of the dog door into its place, and just do the same procedure with the frame for the covering part of the door. Dentures - A Consumer's Guide
Dentures or prosthetic teeth are commonly referred to as false teeth. They are specially designed to replace an individual's missing or diseased teeth. Made to order exclusively for each patient, the dentures fit snugly in the mouth cavity, well supported by the soft and hard tissues that surround them.
Need for dentures
People who have lost their teeth or have been suffering for some years from the ill effects of decayed teeth caused by periodontal disease, Dentinogenesis imperfecta, etc., are often advised by their dentist to have their teeth replaced whether partially or fully by a set of dentures, after having ruled out all other treatment options like cleaning, medication, gum flap surgical operation or a blend of these.
The teeth, whether natural or artificial, provide a support to the lips and cheeks, and lend to their owner a more 'youthful' look than if the man were to be fully devoid of teeth. Thus, having a set of dentures will not only allow the patient to chew or masticate his food well, but will also serve to heighten the facial appearance to a essential extent.
Types of dentures
Dentures can be whether partial or complete. The type of dentures used will depend essentially on the specific needs of the individual.
Partial dentures
Partial dentures are used in cases where the patient has only a few missing teeth. They may be of whether the movable or the fixed variety, and the patient is commonly asked to select in the middle of the two. If a patient has lost only one or two teeth whether from an crisis or by way of removal of decayed teeth, the dentist would in all likelihood recommend a fixed partial denture in the form of a 'crown & bridge' arrangement. Here, the bridging tooth fits into the gap left by the missing tooth, while the attached crowns sit firmly on the tops of the adjoining teeth on whether side. The appliance is cemented in place.
Removable partial dentures are similar to this, but do not have the crowns. They are held in place by means of clips. It is easy to see that these are less stable than the fixed partial dentures, and are correspondingly less expensive than the latter.
Complete dentures
When the entire set of teeth on whether the lower jaw (mandibular arch) or on the upper jaw (maxillary arch) have to be replaced, unblemished dentures are used.
There are 4 kinds of unblemished dentures. They are standard dentures, immediate dentures, implant retained dentures, and Cu-Sil dentures.
Standard dentures are made for citizen who have already lost their entire set of teeth. The back of a standard denture ends just behind the hard bone in the roof of the mouth, in order to maximise the surface area for achieving the best possible holding and stability. holding of the top denture is achieved by suction, while stability is dependent upon the hardness of the basal tissues. It takes about 4 appointments to have a set of standard dentures fitted comfortably.
Immediate dentures
These are often referred to as temporary dentures, and are unmistakably constructed before the removal of the natural teeth. The prefabricated denture is inserted immediately after extraction, right over the bleeding sockets. The denture serves to numb the pain, and most patients do quite well with these. It takes one or two appointments with the dentist to have the immediate dentures ready for fitting.
Cu-Sil dentures
Having even a singular healthy, natural tooth aids the stability of the denture to a essential degree. The Cu-Sil denture has holes in it which are surrounded by a gasket of stable silicone rubber which adheres to the natural teeth thereby allowing the rest of the denture to rest on the gums. This provides good stability by enhancing suction in addition to the mechanical stability offered by the immobility of the natural teeth. Cu-Sil dentures thus help stabilise loose teeth and expand the life of the teeth.
Implant retained dentures
Dental implants involve having a titanium 'screw' fitted into a hole drilled into the basal bone, to accumulate the position of the tooth. The course can be quite expensive (about 1000 Pounds or more), but holding is much enhanced. The insertion of implants into the bone below the dentures can help to mitigate the problem of wearing of the bone. The implants are settled in a way that they take the pressure applied when the denture is used for chewing, and thus keep the bone from eroding. Over a duration of time, the titanium gets integrated into the bone, and the implant is then exposed, at which point a post which thrusts through the gums into the mouth is attached to the implant.
Plastic or pottery dentures
Denture teeth can be made of plastic as well as of porcelain, and the latter are a better match with natural teeth. Also, pottery teeth last much longer than do the plastic counterparts. However, dentists tend to recommend patients to go for plastic teeth, and have some very valid reasons for doing so:
Although pottery teeth are relatively much hardier, they are set on a plastic base which suffers wear and tear. Also, given the mechanical means that are used in fixing the tooth to the base, called the 'diatoric' method, the pottery teeth will begin to fall off the base over a duration of time. an additional one consulation against using pottery dentures, especially if some of the natural teeth are being retained, is that the pottery dentures will begin to wear down the natural teeth to a essential extent, leaving them misshapen and weak over the years.
Common problems related with unblemished dentures
The human body is well accustomed to consider anyone that is settled in the mouth, as foodstuff. Accordingly, when a new set of braces or dentures are inserted in the mouth, the brain recognises this as food, and signals for increased salivary secretions. It takes some time for the body to get adjusted to this. New dentures are also apt to rub or scrape against the delicate epithelium lining the mouth cavity, giving rise to mouth sores in the process. This can be corrected by the dentist in a few weeks, by making the essential adjustments. Some patients may also perceive gagging on dentures, which may be whether to an ill-fitting appliance or stem from psychological reasons.
Important factors to consider
Three foremost factors have a bearing on the denture wearing experience: support, stability and retention.
Support: It is the basal tissues and gums, collectively termed the oral mucosa, that support the dentures by preventing them from piquant vertically and deeper into the respective arches. In the case of the upper teeth, the gums and the buccal shelf play a major role here, while the palate helps support the denture of the lower jaw. Typically, dentures having larger flanges offer better support, so the denture provider must use the border molding process to make sure that the denture flanges are extended to the right degree.
Stability: This has to do with holding the denture base from piquant in the horizontal plane, whether sideways or forwards and backwards. The more the denture base stays in continuous perceive with the edentulous ridge; the better will be the stability. A higher and broader ridge, will also afford better stability.
Retention: This relates to arresting of the denture movements in a direction opposite to that of insertion. The inner surface of the denture base must match exactly well with the surface of the basal mucosa, in order to accomplish the best possible retention.
Replacing a set of dentures
Dentures are not improbable to last a lifetime, and they have to be replaced when the time is ripe. The bone that supports the dentures is moderately eroded over a duration of time, causing the denture of the upper jaw to rise higher and higher under the upper lip, with corresponding downward movements of the lower set. While this is happening, the length in the middle of the nose and the tip of the chin gets reduced, and changes in the shape of the face set in, which may become irreversible. With such changes in muscle length and bulk, it would become virtually impossible for the dentist to make a new set of dentures that are satisfactory to the patient if the old dentures are used beyond a uncostly length of time. It is therefore recommended to have a new set of dentures made once every 5 to 7 years.

Mems: A Tiny container With possible To Revolutionize Every Field of Technology
Micro-electromechanical systems, more oftentimes known by the acronym Mems, are micro devices which can be used as sensors, valves, gears, mirrors, actuators, and more. Most often combined with, or comprising, a microprocessor, they make possible the variety and transmission of data in a itsybitsy package. Mems foundry associates have experienced primary increase in the last two years, as the approximately unlimited estimate of possible applications across many industries has come to be more evident.
The automotive business was the first to apply Mems technologies in high volume. In the 1990s, they were devised as airbag accelerometers. The small size, low cost, and high sensitivity were the features that made it possible. Prior to this, airbag deployment required the premise of bulky components and relatively expensive electronics. Mems technology costs a fifth as much, and the small size results in a quicker response.
With airbag deployment, fractions of a second can make a difference. It is Mems micro devices that have made side impact airbags feasible. Smart airbags, which talk differently depending on the size and weight of the man in the vehicle, are the next step and are already being developed.
The healing applications of Mems are primary as well. Tiny pressure sensors have been widely used for monitoring while childbirth, while eye surgery, in ventilators, and in dialysis machines. Disposable blood pressure transducers have significantly reduced costs for laberious care patients. Microchips for the analysis of skin's physical and chemical health have been industrialized for use by physicians, pharmacies, and cosmeticians. In the laboratory, Mems has made it possible for testing equipment to be made both smaller and more sensitive. They are used in monitoring equipment for radiation and biological hazards. All these technologies have improved ability of inpatient care, while reducing costs.
The technology is also used for micronozzles in ink-jet printers and as mirrors in video corner equipment. The defense business has devised a estimate of uses for Mems, including environmental monitoring, munitions guidance, and navigation. It has also been used for monitoring border control.
A estimate of new applications are in improvement in Mems associates for varied industries. Incorporated into thermostats, they will greatly heighten the vigor efficiency of home and industrial heating and air conditioning. Tiny, inexpensive Gps devices in courier packages will provide real-time tracking without dependence on hand-operated scanning, and will secure information about box handling, including climatic characteristic excursions and shock detection.
The hereafter will also bring smart roads which secure and transmit data about road conditions, so repairs can be made before conditions come to be serious or dangerous. Mems embedded in roads will also transmit data to the Gps in vehicles, holding drivers abreast of road hazards, traffic, and accidents. In airplane wings, they'll talk to air currents and adjust air flaps instantaneously, improving efficiency and safety.
With the estimate of possible uses expanding every day, Mems foundry associates are poised to come to be a major increase business over the next decade. From automotive and healing applications, to climatic characteristic control, protection and transportation uses, nanotechnology in these micro devices has the possible to revolutionize every field and to truly work on every day life across the globe.

Flap Surgery:Get Back Your Smile by the Best Dental treatmentConjunctival Flap protected limbo corneal SICS tunnel using 3mm Keratome (2)
SICS is a commonly used technique of doing cataract surgery along with IOL implantation especially in eye camps. In a classical SICS we make a conjunctival flap, do heat or bipolar cautery to control bleeding, make a tunnel incision using a knife, crescent knife and keratome to make the self-sealing valvular incision. Cauterization destroys lymphatics/aqueous channels and may worsen the existing glaucoma or change a borderline glaucoma to a moderate glaucoma. Using the technique shown in the video one can avoid construction of a conventional conjunctival flap but still have the advantage of a conjunctival flap and its advantages ie the safety of covering the wound which gives an additional protection to prevent post op infection without compromising the aqueous channels. The keratome is put about 5mm away from limbus and conjunctiva is dragged towards limbus and then the tip of the keratome is used to initiate and complete the incision as routinely done. This way a conjunctival flap is created which covers the incision. The rest of the surgical steps are the same. Of course classical SICS is the best surgery if one is not contemplating phacoemulsification. This variant may be tried if surgeon is comfortable with a little messy surgery due to bleeding. Certainly the post op results are comparable.

Five Things About Lasik Eye surgery
Lasik eye surgery has helped millions globally to see great without using glasses or feel lenses. It is the most beloved refractive surgical procedure because there is dinky or no pain and restored foresight occur the next day. Lasik is an acronym for laser assisted in- situ keratomileusis.
Five things you should know before committing to Lasik eye surgery are listed below. 1. What is Lasik? It is a refractory surgery procedure for correcting near and far sightedness. While the procedure a thin flap is created either by a cutting instrument called microkeratome or by the newer IntraLase laser. The surgeon lifts the flap, then removes (ablates) the required corneal tissue with an excimer laser to reshape the cornea.
The flap is then supplanted over the area where the tissue was ablated. This flap acts as bandage over the treated cornea. The doctor performing the procedure uses a computer to suspect and adjust the laser for the singular refractive problem.
2. What to do before Lasik eye surgery? If you are seriously considering this procedure, the most leading thing to do is find a reputable and experienced eye surgeon. A good surgeon reduces the risks of complications. The eye scholar will gawk you to rule your optical defect, and the level of laser ablation necessary.
If you have dry eye disease, rehabilitation will be important before the procedure. A map of the cornea will be created by a corneal topographer, and you may have a wave front prognosis that categorically maps out the area of optical refractive defect. Your doctor will assess your general condition and medication and rule either you qualify on condition grounds for Lasik eye surgery.
If you are not offered a patient facts booklet, ask for one. Before Lasik rehabilitation you should know what to expect following the procedure. You are more likely to be satisfied if before treatment, you know the outcome and fully understand the risks and complications.
3. What happens While Lasik treatment? This rehabilitation is short and you are awake throughout. The surgeon may give you a mild sedative tablet before the procedure. Even though you will walk out of the rehabilitation centre, you should be accompanied to make sure you get home safely. The surgeon will put anaesthetic drops into your eye, and while you lie down, he or she will align the laser directly over your eye.
Your eye will be kept open and pressurised by a retainer with a suction ring. The surgeon will mark out the area of the cornea. The flap is then created either by a microkeratome or IntraLase laser. The flap is lifted. You will then be asked to focus on a light source while the excimer laser delivers pulses of high beam light on to the cornea.
The laser will produce a consistent clicking sound While treatment. You may note an acrid smell While treatment. The time taken depends on the extent of your refractory problem. The flap is replaced. You will then rest for a while.
4. What are the complications? In the past, following Lasik eye surgery, there were as much as 5% of people that experienced one or other important problem. Today the complications are much less and the commonest ones are haze, halos and glare. Problems often results from the hinged flap especially if it does not bond to exterior properly, or it is cut too thin or thick.
These problems are irregular astigmatism, keratoconus or diffuse lamellar keratosis (Dlk). In astigmatism, you may have double foresight or ghost images. In Dlk, debri produce inflammation under the flap. Urgent rehabilitation will cut potential permanent optical loss. In keratoconus, the exterior bulges. This can happen if the flap is too thick. Up to 50% complain of dry eyes after Lasik eye surgery. Most disappear after 6 months. Synthetic tears will help. There may be under revision or over correction. Eye infection or irritation is uncommon but will want treatment.
5. What to expect? While the estimate stage, make sure you know what you should expect following surgery. You should expect 20/20 foresight or great but 20/40 or great is good sufficient to drive without glasses or feel lenses. A study by Us soldiery on 16,000 army personnel following Lasik eye surgery, in the middle of 2000 and 2003 showed that 86% had 20/20 or great foresight and 98% achieved 20/40 foresight or better. If the expected outcome does not meet your expectation, then you have to make an informed decision based on the expected results, risks and cost.
Flap Surgery:Five Things About Lasik Eye surgeryEar Pinning and Split Earlobe repair
Tired of having dumbo ears? Have you worn heavy earrings and now have torn earlobes? All of these conditions can be well corrected with straightforward cosmetic procedures to mend the defects. In patients with important ears, an otoplasty, or ear pinning, procedure can be performed to set the ears closer to the head. In patients with split earlobes whether due to trauma or long term use of earrings, earlobe mend can be undertaken in an office setting.
Otoplasty
Patients who are born with important ears often have a malformation of the cartilage which provides the preserve of the ear. This is often corrected by manufacture an incision behind the ear, elevating the skin from the cartilage, and then taking a suture and suturing the ear into a more natural appearance. At times, some of the cartilage will need to be removed but this can be done through the same incision. The sutures used will be permanent and do have the possibility of breaking at some point in the life of the patient. If this should happen and the ear become important again, the procedure can be repeated.
In older patients, the procedure can be done using local anesthesia. The procedure can be performed in children in early elementary school though normal anesthesia is often considerable as these children will not be able to cooperate with the procedure.
The patient is commonly anticipated to wear a compressive headband dressing for a time duration and commonly a light headband for an additional time. The exact postoperative procedure is surgeon dependent but care should be taken to ensure that the ears are allowed to heal before returning to sense sports, wearing helmets, or even wearing glasses.
Earlobe repair
Torn earlobes can be the ensue of trauma or maybe continued wearing of heavy earrings. Once the earlobe is torn, one of several procedures can be undertaken to mend the tear. The procedure used will depend on the surgeon's preference and the desire of the patient to wear earrings again.
The easiest procedure to performs is to simply close the tear. This will work if the patient does not desire to wear earrings again. If the patient wishes to wear earrings again, this is not a good option because the repaired area will only reach a maximum impel of 80% of the natural strength, creating a much weak area for a new tear to form.
If the patient wishes to wear earrings again, whether a z-plasty or flap procedure is required to close the tear to allow for adequate impel for another earring. Depending on the actual technique used, the piercing may be left in place and a stud supplanted in the curative wound in as dinky as a weak. The surgeon may opt to allow the wound to heal and undertake a new piercing in 6-8 weeks after maximal curative has occurred.
Regardless of the technique used, the procedure can be undertaken using only local anesthesia. There is virtually no downtime and the patient can resume normal activities very quickly.

Anal Fistula - treatment and salvage
An abnormal connection of one part of the body to an additional one is called a fistula. When such linkage occurs in the anus it is called an anal fistula. This is a connection between the interior anal canal and the skin towards the covering of the anus. There are many kinds of anal fistulae and they may occur for a collection of reasons like infection, abscess, pus or other diseases. It is ordinarily seen in patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases.
Common symptoms of an anal fistula would be pain, tenderness, swelling, and irritation in the anal region. Itching may also be experienced. The infection may also cause miniature fever, tiredness, chills, and weakness. One may not feel like eating heavy or spicy food and might feel uncomfortable.
The curative of this abnormality is not natural.
Either the sufferer will need medication or he will need a surgery to be performed.
The medication that may be administered would in general consist of antibiotics. When easy medication does not work, a surgery would have to be performed. A surgery for the anal fistulae present in the lower end of the digestive canal is called Fistulotomy.
The procedure is simple. The surgeon will create an incision on the fistula tube. He will then merge it with the region of the rectum where it is connected. The zone is hence sealed and additional abnormal communication between the regions is stopped. Undue passed of blood or other body fluids is restricted. Consequently, the region will heal.
The procedure is ordinarily carried out under local anesthesia, when the abnormality linkage is not very large. However, when a large anal fistula has formed, it may become unavoidable to carry out a more construe surgical procedure.
For instance, when the channel is relatively deep inside the body, a Seton may be used. A Seton is a type of suture material which is used to tie the abnormal tract. A loop is formed which tightens over a duration of time. This results in curing. Alternatively, Fibrin glue may be used to form a clot in the tract to seal it. In a complicated condition, the Endorectal Advancement Flap formula may be used. Here, a part of the rectal wall is dissected and a flap is created which is used to cover the internal opening. Subsequently, one of the curative products called the Anal Fistula Plug can be used. This is a conical unit made up of developed tissue graft which promotes tissue growth in the affected area.
Hence, despite pain and anxiety, one may be reassured that the health is curable and one can in effect restore a wholesome life.
